Invitation to the Fire and Water AGM 2025

This is an invitation to all members of Fire and Water to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2025.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 19th August 2025, at 6:30 pm here at Fire and Water in Sowerby Bridge.

As a community-run organisation, the AGM is a key event in our calendar. It provides a formal opportunity for members to hear about the running of the venue over the last twelve months and to have a direct say in our future direction. Your attendance is important to us and to the health of the organisation.

The agenda for the evening will cover the following essential items:

Review of the Past Year: We will provide a summary of our activities, events, and milestones from the past year.
Financial Report: The treasurer will present the annual accounts, giving members a clear and transparent overview of the venue’s financial position.
Future Plans: We will outline our goals and priorities for the upcoming year and open the floor for member discussion and input.

Fire and Water is entirely dependent on the energy and commitment of its volunteers. This applies not just to running the bar or the door, but also to the governance and strategic direction of the venue.

Your Voice Matters

Attending the AGM is the most direct way to participate in the governance of your community venue. It’s your chance to ask questions, understand the challenges we face, and help shape the decisions we make.
